Research

Our research focuses on the dynamics of charged particles in high- and low-energy particle accelerators and in particle traps. We focus on simulation, theory and design of components as well as on beam dynamic processes, especially with intensity effects. There is close collaboration with accelerator laboratories and experimental partners worldwide. GSI and the FAIR project play a special role here, as Prof. Boine-Frankenheim is also head of the accelerator physics department at GSI.
